Due to licensing terms, ICPSR data access is restricted to UGA students, faculty, and staff only. The password to download ICPSR files from our local server is the same as the Galileo password. Follow the steps below to obtain this password. Connect to GIL at http://gil.uga.edu. Choose the link labeled "Get GALILEO password." Type your UGA Libraries patron barcode number (located on the front of your UGA Card). Or you can select Social Security Number and type in your nine-digit number. Then type in your last name. Click "Logon" to get to the password and information screen. On the "Request" screen, you will see the GALILEO password displayed in the box next to the text "GALILEO password:." (Passwords are changed each semester.) Use the Galileo password whenever you request ICPSR files to be downloaded from the Data Services pages at UGA.
