Summary
These data from the 20-, 15-, and 5- percent samples of the 1970 Census contain housing characteristics such as value, tenure, number of rooms, persons in unit, sleeping, cooking & plumbing facilities, rent. In File 4A the unit of observation for these data files is the census tract. In File 4C the data is reported for states, counties, Standard Metropolitan Statistical Areas, and places. In File 4A no data exist for Vermont and Wyoming since the unit of observation in this collection is the census tract, and these two states were untracted in 1970. NOTE: These data, courtesy Data and Statistical Services at Princeton University, are in ASCII format.
